OUT AND ABOUT
Whether you are a foodie, a history buff or just enjoy being in the great outdoors, Northumberland and the Scottish Borders has it all

The Northumberland coast is renowned for its beauty and the fact that often you just have the seals and puffins for company when walking along one of it's many beaches. From the wide golden sands of Cheswick beach down to the atmospheric ruins of Dunstanburgh castle there is a lot to see and do, whether it be surfing, kayaking or just going for walk with your four-legged friend.

Cheswick and Goswick sands offer wide open spaces with few people for company, whilst Bamburgh offers more drama with it's famous castle as a backdrop. Take in the famous Farne Island puffins on a boat trip from Seahouses, or surf lessons in the pretty surroundings of Coldingham Bay - there is so much to do on this stretch of coast.
Away from the coast there are a huge host of outdoor activities that you can have fun with: kayaking on the River Tweed or hiking up the beautiful College Valley into the Cheviot Hills and so much more. More details can be found here
